Ann Romney, Stay-At-Home Moms, Under Attack by the Left - A political firestorm erupted last week when Democrat strategist and Obama White House insider, Hilary Rosen, criticized the wife of Presidential candidate, Mitt Romney, by declaring that “she has never worked a day in her life.” Ann Romney, who has been married to her husband for 43 years, was a stay-at-home mom who raised 5 boys. In addition, she has been battling multiple sclerosis for decades and is a breast cancer survivor to boot. Rosen’s comments immediately went viral on Twitter and (shockingly) in the mainstream media. Within hours, Ann Romney had joined Twitter, seemingly for the sole purpose of responding to the outrageous comments. Likewise, President Obama’s senior campaign advisor, David Axelrod, immediately tweeted out a rebuke of Rosen’s comments, trying to create some distance for the White House. For her part, Rosen initially doubled down on the comments the next morning before ultimately having to bow to pressure later in the day by issuing this (half-hearted) apology to Mrs. Romney and stay-at-home moms everywhere. Those on the Left were doing everything within their power to make the story go away as quickly and as quietly as possible. And the reason can be found in this thoughtful (and dead-on) piece by Bookworm Room. READ THIS…

Eric Holder’s Voting Ballot Offered to a Random Dude - Attorney General Eric Holder’s ballot was recently offered to a white dude with no I.D. in a D.C. polling place. There are a few, err — shall we say, problems? — with this phenomenon: 1) Eric Holder is not a white dude. 2) The ballot was offered to the white dude ON CAMERA. 3) Eric Holder has repeatedly stated that voter fraud is ‘not a problem’ in the United States. The undercover exposé is the latest installment from James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas, in conjunction with Breitbart.com, whose stated purpose is to ‘shine the light on corruption, misconduct, fraud and the abuse of power in American society.’ Well, we think you may have swerved into something here, James… Not surprisingly, Holder’s Justice Department quickly issued a statement calling the incident a ‘manufactured’ example of ‘voter fraud.’ Right…..

MO Congressman Defaults on $1.5 Million SBA Loan, Taxpayers on the Hook - Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-MO) and his wife have defaulted on a bad business loan that, according to the Small Business Administration (SBA), could end up costing taxpayers more than $1 million. According to a report in The Kansas City Star, Congressman Cleaver took out the SBA loan back in 2002 for a car wash in Grandview, Missouri. The original amount of the loan (through Bank of America) was approximately $1.5 million. But in his May 2011 financial disclosure, Cleaver valued the car wash at between $100,000 and $250,000. So, it begs the question — How did the former Democrat Mayor of Kansas City and aspiring Congressman (he was first elected in 2004) obtain such a windfall loan in 2002, 75% of which was insured by taxpayer dollars? Furthermore, Cleaver’s financial disclosures — required of all members of Congress — have never listed the car wash loan. Rep. Cleaver is the chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus and a member of the House Financial Services Committee, which has jurisdiction over all issues pertaining to the economy, the banking system, housing, insurance, and securities and exchanges. For his part, Cleaver is refusing to comment other than to say that the defaulted loan was as a result of a “business dispute.” The Congressman went on to tell The Kansas City Star that, “The business has been run by an outside manager for years.” (Yeah, tell that to the taxpayers who are going to end up paying for all of this…)

Failure to Launch: North Korea’s Latest SNAFU - In what was meant to be “a celebration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the North Korean regime’s founder, Kim Il Sung” (as well as a thumbing of the nose at the international community), North Korea defied the United States and the U.N. Security Council again last week, this time by test-firing a long-range missile into the atmosphere. Despite North Korea’s ongoing protestations that its nuclear/missile testing programs are “for peaceful purposes only,” those in the international community have long suspected far more sinister intentions, as confirmed by this latest “test.” One problem for the North Koreans, though — their shiny new missile blew up just 90 seconds after launch. Well, so much for that… Hey, short little fat guy in charge over there who is the heir apparent to that other short little fat guy who was in charge but just died — we have an idea for you… How about, instead of jacking around with these little cut-rate, defective missiles you FEED YOUR FREAKING PEOPLE? You know THESE PEOPLE…?
