This is a montage of my experience at the 9.12 march on Washington.

Here is a time-lapse video that should shut down the idea that the numbers were inflated:

  1. So – very nice personal coverage of an event – from right in the midst of it – and I trust you so I trust that it’s a fair representation of what was going on.

    So – in the spirit of 5 things – what was YOUR goal (and sure, you can add @brentteichman s goals) in going to DC for the walk?

  2. Thanks so much for the montage. I wasn’t able to go, but you made me feel like I was there. Much appreciated!

  3. I just found your blog via Twitter. I will definitely be back.

    Five Goals {as requested by Dawn}

    1. To announce my distaste for the name-calling of Americans who wish to voice their concerns. By participating, I wanted one more set of boots on the ground stating that there is a hypocritical idea being perpetuated. Protesting means “racist” “nazi” or “unamerican” only when Conservative.

    2. I wanted to be a part of Conservatives and Independents who wish to get away from Republican and Democrat. This was more an effort to take gov’t back to a less intrusive time, we really don’t care who gets us there.

    3. I wanted to see what I believe is a tide that is bringing historical change. At the very least I think you can say that Conservatives are out more than ever before.

    4. I wanted to see real coverage of the event. The media has not covered this event. Period. There were tens of thousands, possibly hundreds of thousands. You would not know this unless you go to a site like this. Shame on our media.

    5. I want gov’t to be more about security, infrastructure and fiscal responsibility and less about power, money-grabbing and partisanship.

    More to come. But really, this was an emotional weekend with many messages which I am only now able to truly deal with.

  5. It was so nice to meet you this weekend – and to know we were marching together. Will put together my video montage soon as well – yours is fantastic!

  6. Moll – thanks – you know I rely on your words and opinions even more because on the surface we stand on different sides – I just have to keep remembering to keep asking you your reasons :)
