The First Week
This week I have been consumed with uncovering the dastardly story of the Clinton’s. After many hours looking at financial disclosures and (not-so) friendly partnerships in California, which only promote a political agenda, it is becoming clear that there is nothing at all nice to say and that the uncovering will have to be done in parts. Look forward to the mini-series forthcoming, I am working on it.
While doing this, I am watching to see how our newly-elected President is conducting himself. It is becoming clear that he exercises complete power, that his Cabinet is allowed little room to speak unless it has been cleared and that the glittering generalities are continuing. I will be writing more this evening about the abortion funding issue. But for now, I want to show you a quick bite from the press room.
As you may have heard, Mr. Obama made a round through the press room at the White House to say hello. You may also be suffering from the delusion that this president really means what he says about open government and eliminating lobbyist control on the executive branch. I am sharing this glimpse into his demeanor when the adversarial press has the audacity to question him.
P.S. Obama’s Press Secretary has already come out and admitted that his “tough” stance on lobbyists in the administration will certainly have to acknowledge some “appropriate exceptions.” Define that for me, please?
Watch the post and see for yourself if it makes you feel a bit uncomfortable.
